Start 2 Save at The First Bank of Greenwich
It’s never too early to start saving, and there’s no better way for kids to begin their financial journey than with a strong savings program. At The First Bank of Greenwich, we make saving fun for kids with our Start 2 Save program. Launched at Cos Cob Elementary School January 2012, Start 2 Save is a fundraising program designed to support the PTA, whereby the bank matches the first $ 5.00 deposit per child and donates an additional $5.00 to the child’s school PTA. Start 2 Save is loads of fun and has taken off with many new, young customers.
Here’s how it works…..
Every child who visits the bank is eligible to spin our prize wheel, made possible by the generous support of our participating Start 2 Save Merchants:Ann’s Hobby Shop, Arcuri’s Pizza & Salad, Bliss Ice Cream, Cardillo’s Deli Plus, Chicken Joe’s, Cos Cobber, Cos Cob Stationary, Darlene’s Heavenly Delights, Dave’s Cycle & Fitness, Dunkin Donuts, Drawing Room, Fitness Edge, Gofer Ice Cream, Green & Tonic, Jhouse Chocolate Lab, Little Luigi’s, My Favorite Place, Party Place, Pizza Place, Pomodoro, Roebucks, Rudy’s Tackle Barn, Salon 221, Stamford Pizza, Sweet Lisa’s, Swizzels, Upper Crust Bagel, Zody’s 19th Hotel.
The fun continues every time kids come to the bank.
Each time our young account holders visit The First Bank of Greenwich, they will use a special kids’ teller window, deposit their coins in our cool counting machine, enjoy a fresh baked cookie and meet our friendly mascot Gus.
Overall, this a great way to create a new generation of responsible youth who will continue making smart saving decisions well into adulthood while supporting the PTA.
