Commercial Credit Analyst – The First Bank of Greenwich

This position reports to the Vice President, Senior Credit Officer, and is responsible for analyzing and underwriting new commercial loan requests.  The Commercial Credit Analyst’s primary responsibility is to compile financial information and prepare an analysis to make credit decisions, contribute to the loan decision process and to monitor existing loan portfolio and evaluate credit risk.  Other responsibilities of the Commercial Credit Analyst include managing a $50 million portfolio of existing commercial real estate and C&I loans; performing annual credit reviews of the existing portfolio; acting as liaison to the Bank’s Lending Officers in working with new and existing client base; and assisting the Senior Credit Officer with various other credit administration duties, as required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in Commercial Credit, financial statement and underwriting analysis;
  • Ability to read and interpret business and personal financial statements, tax returns and credit bureau reports;
  • Provide superior customer service by responding to requests in a timely manner;
  • Highly motivated individual with ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to develop a working knowledge of other programs and systems employed by the Bank;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills;

Residential Credit Analyst – The First Bank of Greenwich

This position reports to the Residential Credit Manager, AVP, and is responsible for assisting the Residential Credit Manager with the Disclosure, Processing, Underwriting and Closing of Residential Mortgage Loans in Fairfield and Westchester Counties.  The primary responsibility is to disclose new loan transactions, assist with the preparation of loans’ written analysis and Loan Presentations, order and track third-party reports, outstanding conditions, and fulfill tasks necessary for the preparation of Closing. This position must work effectively with the Residential Credit Manager and the Bank’s Loan Originators (LOs) to support all Residential loans; acting as liaison between the Residential Credit Manager & LOs, the Residential Credit Analyst will communicate outstanding conditions to LOs, and work together with the Residential Credit Manager and Closing Attorneys on closing preparations. Collection of appropriate HMDA Data and preparation of HMDA Packages for the Bank’s Compliance Department, tracking receipt of third-party payments from Borrowers and remittance to Vendors, and contacting existing Consumer and Mortgage Loan Customers over any payment disputes or delinquencies.

Commercial Loan Officer – The First Bank of Greenwich

This position reports to the Vice President, Senior Commercial Lender and is responsible for the origination of commercial mortgage loans in Fairfield and Westchester Counties.  The primary responsibility is to originate new commercial real estate loans by developing strategic business relationships with accountants, attorneys, brokers, and other qualified sources of referral business.  The Commercial Loan officer must be able to underwrite, structure, and negotiate commercial loan transactions, prepare written analysis of proposed transactions for investment approval, and cross-sell other Bank products and services.  Other responsibilities include the collection of appropriate customer and project information and ability to monitor the performance of existing loans in the portfolio.  

Key Qualifications: 

  • The ability to develop new business through direct sale and marketing of the Bank’s lending programs;
  • Experience in analyzing business financial statements and real estate project related data, negotiating loan terms and structuring all types of commercial loans;
  • Ability to read and interpret business and personal financial statements, tax returns and credit bureau reports;
  • Provide superior customer service by responding to requests in a timely manner;
  • Highly motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to develop a working knowledge of other programs and systems employed by the Bank;
